    Research data management and Data security

    Annotation


    The webinar will focus on working with research data during the whole research process and after its completion. The webinar will introduce basic principles of research data management and the main areas that should be addressed when working with research data. You will learn what it means that data are FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable), what a Data Management Plan is and how to prepare one. We will also cover personal data protection and data security in more detail. Finally, we will discuss research data sharing and funders’ expectations and requirements.

    Lecturers:


    Dagmar Hanzlíková

    Dagmar has a degree in Phonetics and English Linguistics from Charles University. Since 2019, she has been working at the Open Science Support Centre (Central Library, Charles University) as a research data support, focusing mainly on research data management and sharing, and she is actively trying to develop data support services at Charles University. She is also interested in the topic of research reproducibility and sharing underlying data to academic publications.


    Milan Janíček

    Milan Janíček studied informatics and knowledge engineering. He has been working in academic libraries for more than 10 years, mostly on positions related to their electronic services (discovery and delivery of electronic resources, digitization, digital libraries). He is currently working at the Open Science Support Centre (Central Library, Charles University) as a research data management and open science support.
