    About us

The Centre for Lifelong Learning supports learning across generations. Internally, it focuses on enhancing the qualifications and pedagogical competences of academic staff, offers professional development courses for non-academic university employees, develops the agenda of so-called microcredentials (courses designed for students, employees, and the general public), and independently runs projects such as the Junior University programme for secondary school students or the international scientific competition FameLab, which popularizes science.

Our mission is also to promote interest- and profession-oriented lifelong learning programmes organized by all 17 university faculties, as well as courses for the University of the Third Age. For its attendees, we organize a graduation ceremony in the Grand Hall of Karolinum.

Our goal is to contribute to the philosophy of lifelong learning at Charles University and provide support to its faculties and departments in creating educational opportunities for all generations. We collaborate with international partners to bring global trends to the local context and share our best practices with them.

We are open to collaboration with new external partners from the private sector with the aim of sharing the experiences of professionals and experts in the field with our students while enriching the private sector with academic approaches.
